I think the contents being covered are interseting and are enjoyable to learn.

I think the handouts are very useful as when I get stuck they come in handy all the time and are very essential for our independent study. They are very useful as they just state the important information that we need to know and gain a good and thorough understanding of.

I think the lessons are well paced as we get to learn all the work that is planned for that lesson in the time duration that we have.

Both media teachers have a great and thorough understanding of Media and teach and present the work to an excellent standard. They explain the work well and are a great help.

The course has met my expectations well and is very ineresting and enjoyable and it is everything that I expected the course to be.

The events that we have in Media such as the Media awards are very useful to all students as it shows them how rewarding and enjoyable the subject is. Particular events such as practical productions and media awards keep the students motivated in media and encourage outher students to take up the course whether in GCSE's or A-Levels.

The Media Macguffin blog has been very useful as there are a lot of links and posts that are very helpful for media students and allows students to know what they need to do next and what homework was set if they had missed any lessons. Also it gives a lot of useful information and help from other and past students blogs that present students may find useful for their own work.

Everything that we need to know for each of the modules are covered in good amounts of depth.

The content we learn is interesting, however it does sometimes get abit tedious (no disrespect to the teachers)

1: the course is very well organised, through the point of how we will be doing representation of females simultaneously to med 5, as most of us are doing females representations

1/2: last year content was very good, but this year is very hard, it is good with the theorists we are learning at present, but the time we are going through each other’s presentations and blogs is taking forever.

1: The handouts are very useful and so were the ones in the past.

3: some lessons seem that they have been structure on the spot.

How well is the course organised?
1 = the way the course is organised is really good as we cover everything we need to know and the media teachers sit down together and organise eacho lesson.
How interesting is the content that is covered?
2=i find the content of the course very interesting,im really enjoying med 5 however med 6 can get abit boring at times.
How useful are the handouts?
2= the handouts are useful as we can return to them and have a look at what we are stuck on when we need to but reading and highlighting loads of text does get abit boring and the information just stops going in when we have too much to read.

1= i think the lessons have been well paced as i never feel like im being rushed and they arent to slow neither so i dont get bored.

1= both mr bush and miss jones have excellent knowledge of media, especially mr bush.

1= its better than i expected it to be as i started regreting choosing media once i had picked it but as soon as lessons began i really enjoyed it.we learn loads but can still have a good laugh.

-(1): The course is organised in a good way as everything is thought in cronological order and each previous topic links to the next.
-(1): The contents covered is very interesting as everything is relevant and makes clear sense to me.
-(3): The handouts are useful, but i feel that sometimes they can have to much information on them. I think that the work on the handouts should be cut down and bullet pointed so it makes it more easier for us to understand.
-(2): The lessons are paced well as we don't move on to the next topic without having everyone fully understanding what is going on in th lesson.
-(1): The class teacher has a good understanding of the topics and different modules. He/she can fully explain any question asked.
-(2): The course is as what I expected it to be, we do detailed analysis of trailers and study theories and theorists in detail. We link and touch upon the affects of media on society.
-(1): I think that these events have been very successful as they bring the whole media department together. It also allows each student to see the ability and skills that the other students have.
-(2): The media blog has been very successful and has helped me with my own blog. It has given me links to help me with my study and has allowed me to look at past students blogs that may also help me with my study.

How well is the course organised?
1- The course is very well organised as lessons are always prepared with work and extra extension work in case students finish early. Also, by the course being split up with separate teachers makes it easier and clearer for students to understand what they are doing with whom.
How interesting is the content that is covered?
2- Aspects of the course is interesting however, there are few elements in which I feel are boring. These aspects are in med 4 when we look at institutions and the products or services they offer. On a whole though it is interesting looking/going to look at the representation on Asian women and slasher films.
How useful are the handouts?
3- The handouts I feel are very useful but the only problem I have with them is that some of them are very lengthy which makes some of the text inappropriate.
Have the lessons been well-paced?
1- The lessons have been well paced by having two separate teachers for two different modules. This makes it easier for us to understand what is required for each teacher/module.
What is the standard of the teachers’ presentation/subject knowledge?
1- I have been very impressed in the teacher’s subject knowledge as they do not have to refer to books or websites for a lesson; they know it all in their heads. The presentation is very well organised with the right equipment for every lesson.

2- The course has fairly met my expectations as I did not expect that I would be doing this much work. I did not think that I would get this much independence on my work.

2-The extra-curricular events have worked well as it has been a tool of motivation. For example, the awards evening is an event which all students want to win and therefore are motivated to do well in.

How well is the course organised?
1: the course is organised in an excellent way due to the way everything we learn fits into teh exam or independant study one way or another.
How interesting is the content that is covered?
2: It is more difficult compared to yr 12. Sometimes lesson can be more exciting!!
How useful are the handouts?
1: The handouts help alot when you understand what is going on, because they all have key information.

Yes, the lessons are well paced.
What is the standard of the teachers’ presentation/subject knowledge?
1:The teachers have knowledge on their own subject and are teaching it well.
How well has the course met your expectations?
2: It has met my expectations well, but the work is a lot harder than last year, and really long. Have the extra-curricular events been useful? (eg. Awards Eve.)
1: Yes, it motivates everyone to view everyone elses film through a media perspective. And everyone gets to have a chance to have their work praised by others.
Has the Macguffin Blog been useful?1: The blog has been very useful, and the researching about teh independant study and putting it on the blog helps prepare us for the final version.
